Let’s talk about astrology…

ree

I, as a child always waited in silent anticipation for the daily newspaper to be available for me to read what was forecast in the Stars for that given day, and being only six years old, I naively believed every word!

Of course, as I grew into adulthood, I began to understand that the daily horoscopes were nothing more than a vague guide to those born under certain ‘Sun signs’ and what the day held in store for them.

It wasn’t until I began to study further into Astrology and all things metaphysical that I began to understand the true sense of Astrology and the importance it plays in any individual’s life, particularly Natal charts, (birth charts to you and me!). Hermes Trismegistus's theory ‘As above so below’ really strikes a chord with me, especially now as I study Astrology and have begun to unlock the mystery of the cosmos at the time of my birth.

Predominately, the Sun, Moon and planets within our solar system play a huge role in who we are in the conscious and subconscious, how we project ourselves to others, even down to our appearance. In fact, the natal chart pretty much maps out every part of our lifespan, and understanding and knowing, allows us to embrace it with confidence.

For instance, if Saturn is in your second house (House of possession) you are likely to be thrifty, shrewd, and cautious where your finances are concerned, yet if Jupiter sits in your second house, you tend to attract money with ease and have an innate talent for financial dealings, and knowing this will enable you to understand and use it to your advantage.

Now this brings me to what led me to study the cosmos, that being the Moon. From my earliest memories, (a long way back in time I might add) I was and still am, mesmerised by the Moon, its cycles and how it affects me both physically and mentally, which then led me to observe those around me, and began to notice certain patterns surrounding each of the cycles of the moon.

After observing and very much feeling the impact of the recent harvest Supermoon, I have a deep-seated feeling of contentment and gratitude for all the gifts that are bestowed upon me from this beautiful earth that we all call home.

So if like me you have a curiosity for astrology, a love of the moon, or are in wonderment when you look up into the night sky, why not delve a little deeper, you won’t believe what you will discover!

That’s me for now, wishing you all the brightest blessings,

Louise X
