A blessing in disguise…

With Yule fast approaching, I always find myself in a period of self-reflection, this year being no exception. 2025 has been quite a year and I am so excited to say goodbye to the year of the snake and welcome in the new energy from the fire horse!

In August we received news that our home of the past twelve years was to be no more, and to say that I was devastated is an understatement. To be honest, I was scared, the house where our younger family members grew into the wonderful people they are now and where so many memories have been made.

Following many weeks of property viewings, the stress built and the hope of finding our next home seemed to dwindle until the fated day that we were fortunate to view our cottage, which we moved to in mid-October.

And today, on our routine shopping trip, I realised that it simply was a blessing in disguise, as we drove and passed an incredible forest only a mile or so from the cottage, a few more miles and the view opened up to the magnificent ocean, I understood what a blessing it was!

And now looking forward, we have many new places to discover, to collect windfall for our crafting, which we sell online, new faces to remember and many, many trips to the beach.

In the darkest, most stressful times it is hard to spot the rainbow, but where there is belief and trust in the universe, if you look carefully, you will find it!
